Electronic Arts has launched Madden NFL Superstars on Facebook that allows users to create their own fantasy team by collecting NFL players and competing in matchups with their friends.
“Each day on consoles, fans are playing as many games online as the equivalent of 750 full NFL seasons,” said Peter Moore, president of EA SPORTS.
“Now on Facebook, Madden NFL Superstars will bring a whole new dimension and audience to the Madden NFL experience.”
Madden NFL Superstars allows users to choose from more than 1,500 current players from all 32 NFL 2010 teams. The game features an “In Season” mode where players compete in increasingly difficult matchups against other player’s teams through a progressive ladder to earn championship trophies.
“NFL Pro League” mode allows players to compete in a series of games against each of this season’s actual NFL teams. “Scrimmage” mode allows users to play against their Facebook friends.

Madden NFL Superstars is a unique new experience that gives those fans, and tens of millions more, an opportunity to enjoy the excitement of NFL football on Facebook,” said Kristian Segerstrale, vice president and general manager of Playfish.

Il colosso dei videogiochi Electronic Arts prosegue la sua scalata per guadagnare grosse fette di mercato nel campo dei social games. Dopo aver lanciato pochi mesi Fifa Superstars, la casa americana ci riprova con Madden NFL Superstars. Fifa è diventato sin da subito uno dei giochi più popolari su Facebook, con oltre
quattro milioni di utenti attivi al mese.
Madden NFL Superstars riprende le meccaniche alla base di Fifa Superstars e le sposta nel mondo del football. Il gioco, ne siamo certi, riscuoterà un enorme successo tra tutti gli appassionati del football NFL.Ovviamente Madden NFL Superstars non è un gioco di football in senso stretto, non aspettatevi lo stesso gioco uscito su PlayStation 3 ed Xbox 360. Ma questo non è un male, anzi, per certi versi la versione Facebook è molto più innovativa rispetto alle edizioni per le console casalinghe.
Madden NFL Superstars può essere definito un gioco di carte collezionabili, ma questo appellativo è certamente riduttivo. Il gioco contiene tutte le squadre ed i giocatori della attuale stagione NFL, per un totale di 1.500 carte collezionabili. Dobbiamo creare una squadra in grado di vincere tutte le partite stagionali, con la speranza di riuscire a disputare, e vincere, il superbowl.

Ovviamente il gioco possiede una componente social piuttosto spiccata. Possiamo sfidare i nostri amici e guadagnare trofei da esibire nella nostra bacheca personale. Se avete giocato a Fifa Superstars non noterete molte differenze.
Madden NFL Superstars è sicuramente un gioco da provare. Gli amanti del football rimarranno affascinati dal nuovo titolo Electronic Arts, mentre tutti gli altri potrebbero presto appassionarsi a questo sport…
